In-person support
Are you looking for practical support, counselling or help with planning? Care2Serve has a range of in-person support services including:
- Learn new skills – need to administer medicines, or learn how to safely lift someone with a disability? Care2Serve offers a number of educational workshops and training courses to help you provide a better quality of care to your loved ones.
- Social gatherings – meet up with carers and health mentors in your local community.
- Get advice and practical help – whether you’re trying to arrange respite care, access the NDIS, or plan for the future, dealing with the ‘system’ can sometimes feel overwhelming. We can help you navigate the maze of services and support.
- Talk to a professional – caring can be incredibly stressful. It can impact our relationships, create pressure at work, and have an effect on our health and wellbeing. Caring for someone with an illness or disability can also lead to loss and grief. While it’s not always possible to prevent stressful situations, our trained counsellors can provide a little extra help to get you through. Call 1800 422 737 to make an appointment or request a call back.
WHAT IS RESPITE
There’s no shame in asking for help or for a bit of time out from caring. In fact, it’s important you take time to recharge. Respite is taking a break from your caring role for a limited period of time. If it’s help you need during an emergency, or you’d like to reassess your circumstances, respite options are available.
