About Care2Serve
Care2Serve is the service delivery arm of Carers Tasmania, the peak body for over 80,000 unpaid family and friend carers in the state.
Our mission is to connect carers to practical advice and early intervention support services before they reach a crisis point.
We believe that carers are the unsung heroes of our local communities. Around 2.65 million Australians provide 1.9 billion hours of unpaid care for loved ones due to age, disability or illness. The replacement value of this unpaid care is around $60.3 billion per year.
The Australian Government has created the National Carer Gateway, one of the biggest reforms in decades, to recognise the amazing job carers do. Carers now have access to vital services through Carer Gateway, including connection with other carers, access to emergency respite care, tailored support packages, counselling, coaching and more.
Vision
A Tasmania where carers have access to excellent services whenever they need them.
Purpose
We provide carers and families with access to services that build and sustain their capacity to provide care within a broader support system
