About Care2Serve
Care2Serve is the Tasmanian provider of the National Carer Gateway support services. We put carers first, connecting them to practical advice and early intervention support services before they reach a crisis point.
We believe that carers are the unsung heroes in our local communities. Around 2.7 million Australians provide 1.9 billion hours of unpaid care for loved ones due to age, disability or illness. To put this into perspective, the replacement value of this unpaid care is around $60.3 billion per year!
Thankfully the Australian government recognises the amazing job carers do, creating the National Carer Gateway, the single biggest reform in decades. Carers will now have access to vital new services including peer support, training and coaching, carer support planning, counselling, emergency respite care, and tailored financial packages.
Vision
A Tasmania where carers have access to excellent services when they need them.
Purpose
We provide or connect carers and families with first choice services that build and sustain their capacity to care within a broader system of support.
Our Values
Carers & Families First – we listen to what carers/families need and deliver results that matter most to them
Care in all we do – we care for our work, each other, carers/families, and the world we share.
Integrity always – we are transparent, act ethically, own when things don’t go to plan, treat each other with respect, and do what we say we will do
Quality every time – we don’t accept ‘good enough
Speed that matters – we are agile and don’t put off what can be done today
Care2Serve has offices in Hobart, Launceston and Burnie.
